Uganda Fund Grantees in London to Advocate on Behalf of War-Affected Children
In July, the Director and Head Girl of the Pader Girls Academy traveled to London to advocate on behalf of war-affected children and youth. While in London, they made presentations at two schools, at the UK Department of International Development and at a meeting of the All Party Parliamentary Group on the Great Lakes Region of Africa. Juliet, the Head Girl, also wrote and delivered a letter to Downing Street with a call to the Prime Minister to do more for girls affected by war. She participated in several media interviews. (BBC,
